The story of
your commission
starts here
A commissioned piece is bespoke, it is created for you and with you, according to the vision you have for the work. It’s an absolute honour to create art that already has a home specially chosen for it.
When considering your commission, dare to dream. What colours are the stars of the show? Are there special meaningful details you’d like me to incorporate? Who do the stars shine for? We’re on a journey: where have we come from, where are we headed?
I have a very limited commission schedule and am currently accepting 5 commissions a year on a first come first serve basis.

It starts with a dream
-
Step One
It begins with a simple phone call where we get to know each other and I’ll talk you through the process.
We’ll talk about practical things like where you’ll hang the piece and the size you’re looking for, and we’ll also chat about the fun stuff too: the feeling you want the piece to evoke, the colours you’d like to incorporate, and any special associations you’d like to honour.
-
Step two
You pay a non-refundable deposit of 30% and I will paint a small series, often 2 or 3, in response to our discussions.
There is no fixed timeline for completion, but it’s safe to allow a couple of months from deposit to delivery.
Once complete, I’ll invite you to make your final selection.
-
Step three
On receipt of the balance, I will apply the final protective varnish, fit hanging hardware to the back of the work, and deliver your piece with a Certificate of Authenticity.
I supply paintings unframed as I believe framing is a personal design choice, but I am happy to recommend what I think will work with the painting. As I paint the edges of the canvas some people prefer to leave the sides exposed.
